The fair use of Oncat

Your account

Give us real details when you sign up, keep your password to yourself, and you're responsible for what happens under your account. One account per person. You need to be old enough to enter a contract (16+). If something looks off with your account, tell us.

Your content

Your photos, words and history stay yours — Oncat doesn't claim ownership. You simply give us permission to store and show them the way you've asked us to (on the pages you make public, in shared links and window cards). Only post things you have the right to — your own cars, your own photos. You're responsible for what you upload.

Being a good member

• • Add cars you actually own or have owned. Be honest about a car and its history.
• • Be decent — no harassment, abuse, impersonating others, or anything illegal.
• • Don't scrape the site, harvest registrations, or try to break or misuse it.
• • We run on trust, but we'll act on reports — a car page or account can be removed if it's not genuine or breaks these terms.

Buying & selling

Oncat helps owners show cars and connect — but we're not the seller, the buyer, or an escrow service. Any deal is strictly between the two people involved, off the platform, like classified ads. We verify what we reasonably can and keep identities masked until you reply, but you must do your own checks before parting with money. We're not party to, and not responsible for, any sale.

Clubs & links

We point people towards the clubs, events and specialists that hold the Jaguar world together, and we link out to their sites. Those sites are theirs, not ours — we're not responsible for their content, and listing them isn't an endorsement in either direction.

Availability

Oncat is young and evolving. We'll do our best to keep it up and your data safe, but we can't promise it'll never go down, and features may change, arrive, or be paused as we build. We'll always give reasonable notice of anything significant.

Liability

Oncat is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses, or for things outside our reasonable control. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited (like death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Your legal rights as a consumer are unaffected.

Leaving

You can leave whenever you like — delete your account and your personal data goes with it (a car's history file may live on as a dormant page if you chose to leave it, but that's your call). We can suspend or close an account that abuses the service or breaks these terms.

Changes

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top, and flag anything important. Carrying on using Oncat means you're happy with the update.

The legal bit
