The STR is such a great car, and that supercharger whine is addictive 😄 Looks great in black. Im looking forward to getting mine back on the road and using it properly, it’s with my local mechanic at the minute having some troubleshooting done.
I’m addicted to driving it I can’t stop haha. Yours looks incredible in that colour. Mine was in recently and needs 2 new O2 sensors but that’s it. Next year I’d like a wheel refurb, 4 tires, full detail and caldoofy intake with a supercharger pulley 6% + oil and filter.
Thats understandable ;) I've been tempted with the Caldoofy myself, I'm due a set of tyres too once I've got over this brake issue. It's got a set of Hankooks on at the minute which are quite hard and have started to perish, I'll try put Michelin on this time if I can get them as I've been dead impressed with the PS4s.
The supercharger whine is so much more prominent with the caldoofy. And awesome I’ve been looking at continentals I’ve been impressed with them on my 3 series daily driver I’ve done more than 14k miles on them.
Yeah the continentals are a good tyre, I noticed a big difference (downgrade) when going from the Conti's to the Hankooks
Yes highly recommended. Have you upgraded any cooling pipes?
I haven't done any upgrades or mods on it to be fair, other than replacing the backboxes with straight-through pipes to open up the sound of that V8 😎 it sounds incredible now and makes me laugh when i put my foot down. I've replaced the valley pipes as they're renound for going, but they were fine. Im looking forward to getting past this braking issue, it stops fine but the pedal feels terrible (spoungy), with the engine off its rock solid, but useless when the engines running. Ive had new callipers, new flex hoses, servo, ABS unit sent off and tested. I've got plans for this car next year, so I've had to admit defeat this week and hand it over to my local mechanic, they've had it a few days now, we'll see what they come back with next week.
Yeah those pipes are notorious, been told mines okay for the S-type so all good there. I’d love to do something to make the exhaust more raspy but not loud I bet yours sounds amazing. I need to get my headlining done it’s nearly on my head haha.
😄😄 Yeah mines starting to go slightly as well, we had to replace Dads last year... theres some pictures on here of that being done, will you do it yourself?
I’ve heard it a pain but I have the new material ready, place in Lincoln does them but I’d have to take time off, I think it comes out the windscreen or the back door
Yeah it can be tricky but worth the pain, on Dad's S-Type we took it out the back door
