The story

We had a trip booked to the Isle of Man with Classic Car Tours—they'd arranged for Slock Mountain road to be closed specially for us. My close friend Andy was taking his S-Type R, and with my STR not in a fit state to drive and the XF feeling wrong for the occasion, I started hunting for something more suitable.

I knew what I wanted:

The 3-litre 380ps AWD version. I'd looked at a couple that didn't quite tick all the boxes, and then I came across this little gem at Williams Jaguar Manchester.

Why this particular car?

What drew me to this particular car went beyond the specification. It had been with one of Jaguar's flagship dealers since the very beginning—originally registered by them to a lady who lived just ten miles away.

Every service, every MOT, had been performed by Williams, and the history was immaculate. That kind of provenance felt like a sensible foundation for ownership, the sort of thing you can trust.

Why 'Enzo'?

The colour, Firenze red (or 'Itallian racing red')
