Time served (City and Guilds based apprenticeship) Motor Mechanic for 12 years thru 1960s/1970s. During this time I experienced the challenges of working on Jaguar cars such as the MkII and the E Type, eventually becoming an owner of a Jaguar in 2013.

Before attempting to carry out this replacement be sure that it is understood what is required and what to watch out for i.e. tools, workspace, brittle plastics - new liner or recovering old. If fitting a glass fibre replacement it will be covered in glass fibre debris which is an irritant.
