Black, silver or gold?
Three different looks for Enzo, but which set of wheels suits him best?
Which wheels look best on Enzo?
One car, one wheel design and three very different looks. I know which way I'm leaning, but I'm interested to see what everyone else thinks.
When we bought Enzo, he came with the wheels finished in black. I liked them, but I was curious to see how the car would look with something a little different.
That opportunity came when I found a fresh set of exactly the same wheels through Steve at SB Wheels. They'd covered little more than delivery miles, so they were about as close to new as I was likely to find.
That gave me two sets and, eventually, three different looks for Enzo.
Back to silver
The fresh set went onto the car in their original silver finish and immediately changed its appearance.
Against the red bodywork, the silver makes the wheel design much more visible than the black. It's a cleaner, more traditional look and probably the most understated of the three.
I liked it, but having the original black set sitting there gave me an idea.
Time for gold
I decided to have the original black wheels refurbished in gold.
It was definitely the boldest of the three options, and I wasn't entirely sure how they'd look until they were back on the car.
Once fitted, though, the combination of the red paintwork and gold wheels completely changed Enzo again. You can see far more of the wheel design than you could with the black finish, but they have much more warmth and character than the silver.
It's surprising just how much a wheel colour can change the character of a car. The black, silver and gold are exactly the same wheel design, but put them on Enzo and each gives him a completely different look.
Which ones do you prefer?
I've now seen Enzo on all three, and I keep changing my mind about which suits him best.
The black looks purposeful, the silver is clean and classic, while the gold brings something completely different against the red paintwork.
So, black, silver or gold? Take a look at the photos and let me know which ones you prefer.

Gold or black. Gold looks good. Have a friend with a red f-type with gold wheels. Does look nice
