Settled for bronze with the fresh set of wheels
When I bought the car, it came on black wheels that suited it beautifully with the black trims. After our trip to Anglesey, I ordered a fresh set of silver wheels for track use on the way home—the Pirellis that came with it had taken a proper battering. I fitted the silver wheels and shod them with fresh Michelin PS4s. I loved the look of the silver, but I scratched the itch and had the black set refinished in bronze.
The honest conclusion is that I like all three. I'm genuinely not sure which is best. Each one gives the car a distinctly different character, which probably makes different the fairest way to describe it. For now I've got the bronze and silver sets to play with and see which one sticks.
